WWF Sunday Night Heat results: 5/14 Commentators: Michael Cole and Kevin Kelly Report by: Kevin Gregg of PowerWrestling.com Everyone, please bare with me. I'm on a new keyboard, and I may make a few small typo errors. I spell check everything before putting it through, but spell check doesn't catch everything. I'm trying to get use to the new keyboard that came with my computer. I hope you all understand! Matt Hardy vs. Val Venis It's time for another edition of WWF Sunday Night Heat! We are just one week away from WWF Judgment Day, and some matches for the event are set to be announced here tonight on Heat! Sunday Night Heat starts off with a big bang in the arena, and to kick off the night, the music of the Hardy Boyz is playing in the arena. Matt Hardy is set for a match against Val Venis in one on one action. The two lock it up to start off the match, and Val backs Matt into the corner and then the referee calls for a break, but they don't get a clean one as Val Venis kicks Matt Hardy in the mid section. Val continues to stomp away on Matt Hardy and then Matt fires out of the corner with a clothesline. Matt whips Val off the ropes and he catches him in a back body drop and then he charges at him, and Val back body drops Matt onto the apron. Matt tries to suplex Val to the outside of the ring, but Val is able to counter it and slam Matt face first into the apron of the ring. Val follows Matt to the outside of the ring and he goes to work on him with some right hands as well as slamming him across the barricade. Matt whips Val Venis into the steel steps and then he rolls Val back into the ring and gives him a body slam. Matt Hardy goes to the second rope and he gives Val a leg drop right across the neck. Matt pins Val for a two count and then Val gets over to the ropes as Matt goes over and chokes him across the second rope. Matt whips Val off the ropes, and he goes for another back body drop, but Val Venis gives him a kick to the chest. Val whips Matt into the corner and he follows it up with a hard clothesline as well as a back drop into a powerbomb pin for a two count. Val perches Matt Hardy on the top rope and then he goes to give him a suplex, but Matt is able to stop him. Matt Hardy flings Val off the ropes and then he gives him a tornado DDT. Matt Hardy pins Val Venis for a two count and then he goes for the twist of fate, but Val gets out of it and gives him a back drop. T&A and Trish Stratus are shown backstage, and it looks like they are trash talking one of the competitors. Trish says that she thinks that Val is going to have one hell of a match tonight. Matt Hardy takes Val Venis down by the hair and then he whips him into the corner hard. Matt Hardy then gives Val Venis a suplex in the middle of the ring, and then he pins him for a two count. As the match is going on, Albert makes his way to the ring and he gets on the apron and Matt gives Val the twist of fate. Test gets in the ring and gives Matt a boot to the face behind the referee's back. Val Venis then goes to the top rope and gives Matt the Money Shot to get the win. Winner - Val Venis Hardcore Holly vs. D'Lo Brown Edge and Christian are shown backstage, and Edge and Christian talk about some wrestlers from the past. Kurt Angle shows up and tells them that it was an honor to work with them last Thursday on Smackdown!. Kurt tells them that if they work together, they can be a well oiled machine. D'Lo Brown is headed to the ring now, and he is set for a one on one match against Hardcore Holly. D'Lo Brown attacks Hardcore Holly from behind to start off the contest, and then D'Lo whips Hardcore off the rope and gives him a powerslam. D'Lo Brown pins Hardcore Holly for a two count. D'Lo then whips Hardcore off the ropes again and this time, he catches him with an elbow. Michael Cole mentions a tag team table match for Judgment Day, and it's DX vs. the Dudleys. D'Lo Brown catches Hardcore Holly with the D'Lo Leg Drop and then he picks him up and gives him a suplex. D'Lo Brown pins Hardcore Holly for a two count as Hardcore is able to kick out. D'Lo Brown backs Hardcore Holly into the corner and kicks away on him. D'Lo Brown gives Hardcore a couple of shots to the back of the head and then he gives him a body slam in the middle of the ring. D'Lo Brown then heads to the top rope and goes for a moon sault and he nails Hardcore with it. D'Lo whips Hardcore Holly into the corner and he follows it up with another whip to the other corner, and then Hardcore kicks him in the head. Hardcore Holly fires away on D'Lo Brown with some punches and then D'Lo back body drops Hardcore to the arena floor. D'Lo Brown gives Hardcore Holly a baseball slide and then behind the back of the referee, the Godfather comes out and gives D'Lo Brown the pimp drop. That allows Hardcore Holly to get control of D'Lo Brown. Hardcore Holly gives D'Lo Brown a suplex slam into a pin to get the win. Winner - Hardcore Holly Kurt Angle, Edge and Christian are shown backstage, and Kurt says that he likes their 5 second poses for the fans. Edge says that they have been rehearsing some poses, and they show Kurt some of them. They do one called the thought, as well as one called the escape. Christian and Edge do one more, and they call it "Uh Oh!" Al Snow and Steve Blackman vs. Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn are headed to the ring, and they are teaming up against Al Snow and Steve Blackman. Kevin Kelly makes mention that Perry Saturn is going against Dean Malenko and Eddy Guerrero in a Triple Threat Match at Judgment Day for the European Championship. After the two teams come to the ring, the music of Eddy Guerrero starts playing in the arena, and he is on his way out to the ringside area along with Chyna. Perry Saturn starts it off in the ring against Steve Blackman as Eddy and Chyna join Michael Cole and Kevin Kelly for commentary. Steve gives Perry Saturn a drop kick and then he gives him a side back breaker. Steve then tags in Al Snow and the two double team Saturn for a few moments. Saturn tags in Dean Malenko and the two double team Al Snow for a moment. Dean goes for a right hand on Al, but he is able to block it and then Al fires back with some right hands of his own. Dean then gives Al a knee lift and tags in Perry Saturn. Al tags in Steve Blackman and he and Perry go at it. Perry Saturn stomps away on Steve Blackman on the mat as Eddy and Chyna do commentary. Steve goes for a back body drop, but Saturn kicks him in the chest. Steve tags in Al Snow and Al goes to work on both Saturn and Malenko with some right hands. Al gives Dean a back body drop and Steve hammers away on Saturn in the corner. Eddy Guerrero gets up out of his seat and he whips Dean into a clothesline from Chyna. Saturn gets kicked by Steve Blackman and then Al and Blackman give Saturn their finishing move to get the win. Winners - Al Snow and Steve Blackman Plays of the Week The music video played by Kittie is called Brockish as the plays of the week play for what went down this past week in the World Wrestling Federation. Many things went down this week, and most importantly, Triple H laid out a challenge to The Rock for the World Wrestling Federation Championship belt in an Iron Man match. We will find out this Monday on RAW if The Rock accepts the challenge or not. In other action, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit are still at each other's throats, and they will battle once again at Judgment Day, and it will be a submission match. Degeneration X and the Dudley Boyz haven't been on good terms as of late, and they will clash at Judgment Day with The Road Dogg and X-Pac against the former tag team champions in a table match. Essa Rios vs. Jeff Hardy Essa Rios and Lita are headed to the ring and Essa Rios is going against Jeff Hardy in this next one on one match. The match starts off with Essa Rios giving Jeff Hardy some shots to the head as well as to the mid section. Jeff Hardy back body drops Essa to the apron and Essa grabs the arm of Jeff and goes off the top rope and arm drags him across the ring. Jeff Hardy gives Essa Rios a drop toe hold into the bottom turnbuckle as Lita looks on. Jeff Hardy springs Essa onto the top rope and then he goes off the top rope and gives Essa a leg drop as he's hanging across the top rope. Jeff pins Essa Rios for a two count and then he gives him a suplex in the middle of the ring. Jeff then goes to the top rope with a corkscrew moonsault, but Essa Rios moves out of the way. Essa Rios pins Jeff Hardy for a two count and then Essa chokes away on Jeff Hardy. Essa Rios whips Jeff into the corner and Jeff gets flung onto the top rope and Essa gives him a drop kick to knock him down. Jeff gets tied up in the top rope and Essa gives him a baseball slide to the face. Essa then puts Jeff in a head lock and Jeff gives him a chin breaker. Essa chokes Jeff Hardy over the bottom rope and then he whips him off the ropes, but Jeff reverses and as Essa goes for a moon sault, Jeff drop kick counters him. Jeff and Essa Rios fight to the outside of the ring and then Essa nails Jeff Hardy with an asai moonsault. Lita then goes to the apron and Essa holds Jeff so she can give him an asai moonsault, but Jeff is able to get out of the way and Lita hits Essa Rios. Jeff then tosses Essa back into the ring, and he calls for the swan-ton bomb. Jeff gets it on Essa Rios to get the win. After Jeff wins, you can see that Lita is visibly upset as a result of her costing Essa Rios the match. Essa and Lita argue at ringside, and then she quickly leaves him behind. Winner - Jeff Hardy Kurt Angle, Edge and Christian are shown, and Kurt wishes them good luck. Edge tells Kurt that he won't have to do a run in, Edge tells him again, and Kurt says that his feet won't move a step. Christian tells Kurt that if he sees them get into any trouble out there to help them. When Edge told Kurt not to, he was being sarcastic. Too Cool are shown in the backstage area and they are heading towards the arena for a Tag Team Championship match against Edge and Christian.
