Once again, G-ite's, I've got a HUGE Update. I dunno' what it is about midweek in Pro Wrestling, but it just seems to always have the juiciest stuff flowing around. I've got quite a bit to cover, so I won't waste too much of your time. If you missed out yesterday on the fabulous Miss Kitty pictures I put up, have no fear, because today some NEW pictures go up. If you thought Kitty looked great yesterday in those tight little outfits, you won't wanna' miss today; so just click HERE for TheWrestlingWire.
Anyway, don't forget to watch Smackdown tonight as they've got a great show lined up for you, and enjoy the Update...
First off, in a wacky bit to start off, we've got former WWF wrestler "The Warlord" stepping into court with ... the ever-so-notorious Pizza Hut Corporation. As odd as that may sound, it's very true as Warlord was apparently given several neck and back injuries after a Pizza Hut delivery-boy rammed his car from behind. Now, this may be old news for some of you considering the accident happened in June 1996, but it's only now that Warlord has decided to sue the company. Terry Szopinski [WL's real name] has also made it clear that because of this he cannot only never wrestle again, nonetheless pick up anything too heavy. Total damage costs over the three years rack up over one million, which is the exact number that Terry will be suing Pizza Hut for.
I've used this line more times than Hulk says "Brotherrrr..." but, yet again, we've got another wrestler taking a shot at writing his own autobiography. This time it'll be legend of the ring, Ricky Steamboat, who will take a stab at the feat; according to his official fan-forum president, Sonya Schell. Sonya went on to say that Ricky won't be doing it on his own, as he'll be co-writing it with his wife Bonnie, similar to how Bill Goldberg is writing his with his brother.
After getting chokeslammed by Kane and having Rikishi's butt splattered all over his face, $100,000 is more than a fair price to give to Pete Rose for his WrestleMania 2000 appearance. If you look at this from a financial perspective, this is actually a great save for the WWF, as they've generated way more into their pockets than they've spent with all the WM2000 hoopla. Considering they didn't dish-out over-extravagant numbers to such other rumored celebrities as Darva Conger [Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?] and Britney Spears, as I've said, this is a big earn on the WWF's behalf.
Despite Sandman's best efforts, "no," The Public Enemy are not headed to ECW anytime soon. Actually, I spoke with a promoter that works with them that wishes to remain anonymous, and according to him, The Public Enemy actually NEVER wants anything to do with ECW nor Paul Heyman. However, XPW, the country's hottest and fastest growing promotion, has offered the legendary tag-team a six-figure number to work with them full-time under a two-year deal. Considering T.P.E.'s luck elsewhere, expect them to see where this puts them...
Now, I'm sure you've already heard the news on Vince Russo and Bischoff wanting to move the Nitro time-slot back to 9PM-11PM, from their now normal 8PM-10PM frame. Some more tidbits have just broke on that particular story, as Bischoff said in a radio-interview that he totally backs up this idea brought forth by Vince Russo, because [and I quote] "It's only for our company's benefits that we need to strengthen our backbone, and I think this is a perfect idea..." As I've said, the both do agree on this one very much so, because before Vince Russo was called-off by WCW, he too wanted the "vs. RAW" time-frame back.
On Monday, the WWF really took advantage of the solo-ride they got, going unopposed to Nitro. According to Neilsen Cable Incorporation, WWF held 4 of the top 5 spots, along with 10 of the top twenty from there. As you can see, WWF really beat out some major competition...

Former 'Legion of Doom' manager, Paul Ellering, has left Pro Wrestling to take-on a hobby of his. April 11th at 9PM on USA, [No, it's not RAW...] Ellering will be one of the many racers participating in the biggest dogsled event of the year; "The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race." Sure, managing Hawk and Animal may have been hard, but try guiding twelve dogs through 1,200 miles of snow, sleet and more. So, stay tuned as next week I'll have those results..., only if Paul ends up winning.
Lastly, not only did Tazz, Edge, Christian, and The Hardyz walk out of WrestleMania with several injuries, but two important WWF superstars went unmentioned; regarding their status'...
*In his "last match ever," Mick Foley injured his hand and endured several contusions on his stomach and chest area after missing his flying elbow off the turnbuckle, hitting the announcers table. Foley is said to be a little groggy backstage, but, this is Mick Foley and he WILL get over it.
*The Rock left Anaheim with injuries not as severe as Mick, but nonetheless, painful ones. Apparently, Rock told several backstage that after the main event, he was feeling back pain from receiving that suplex on the table outside the ring. His condition is said to be healing rapidly as we speak.
