WWF Smackdown Report Report by WrestleWomen.net Essa and Val Venis beat Eddie Guerrerro and Chyna. There was great action throughout the whole match. Essa's team won when Essa hit the moonsault on Eddie. Rock came out and said he has been to hell and back to get this title shot. He then calls out the McMahon/Helmsly Regime. This prompts Triple H, Stephanie, Road Dogg, Torrie, Vince and Shane to come out. Then, the Rock promises that Steve Austin will be in the arena tonight! Rock was shown leaving the building. The DX Express had two foam Austin fingers and the regime just laughed it off. Dean Malenko took on Scotty Too Hotty for the WWF Lightwieght Title. The match started with Dean attacking Scotty. In the end, Scotty went for a pin and Dean reversed it and held on to the ropes to regain the WWF Lightwieght Title. Triple H got a beep on his beeper saying 3:16. T and A took on the Hollys. Hardcore Holly had the match won, and then Crash asked for the tag in and he went for a top rope splash and completely missed. Then, Hardcore comes in and screams at Crash and Test kicks Hardcore out of the ring. Albert press slams Crash and then Test hits the flying elbow for the win. After the match, T and A were celebrating and the Dudleys hit them with chairs and take Trish and are about to put her through a table when Trish starts smothering Buh Buh. Buh Buh was in a trance and Trish was put down and Albert chokeslams Buh Buh through the table. Vince and Shane are in the back looking for Austin and they attack a cardboard cut out of him Steph is in the back looking for Austin, and Kurt Angle sees her and asks her for Monday Night off so he can go to the premiere of Gladiator and Steph agrees. She then asks if Angle has yet seen Austin. He says no. Chris Jericho and Tazz took on Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn. This was a great match. Jericho put the Walls of Jericho on Saturn and Chris Benoit broke it up, then Benoit put Tazz into the Crippler Crossface but Jericho broke it up. In the end, Tazz and Jericho won after Jericho hit the lionsault. I n the back, Shane found a beer can and he opened the door and tripped on a ton of beer cans. Christian beat Road Dogg. Another good match, lots of nice innovative spots. Christian missed a dropkick from the top. He did hit a spinning reverse DDT. Road Dogg won with his finisher. Afterwards, though, he continued to attack Christian and had the decision reversed. Backstage, the regime hears Austin's music playing, they open the door and its a boom box playing the Agression cd. Big Show and Rikishi took on Kurt Angle, Bull Buchanon and Big Bossman in a handicap match. In the beginning, they quickly got rid of Rikishi and triple teamed Big Show. The match was dominated by Buchanon, Bossman, and Angle. In the end, Big Show and Rikishi won with a chokeslam. After, they were ready to dance but Bossman stopped them. Buchanon and Angle joined in attacking them, until the APA came down and ran everyone out. This left Big Show and Phatu in the ring. Show was about to leave when Rikishi stopped him and put on the shades and they started dancing. Backstage, Shane and Triple H attack somebody that they thought was Steve Austin but it wasn't him. Matt faced Jeff Hardy for the WWF Hardcore Title, in a match that cant be described. In the beginning, Matt handed a weapon to Jeff (the blonde one) and he wouldn't accept it, so Jeff got hit with it. In the end, Tazz, Hardcore Holly and Saturn came out to watch the match and ended up fighting each other, and then out of no where, Crash Holly runs in with a trash can, hits Matt and pins him for the victory. In the back, McMahon gets a special delivery, and it's cement for his corvette. He gets ticked off. Jim Ross is talking to somebody on the phone about Backlash and is confronted by Vince and Triple H. It is revealed that he is talking to his cousin. Steve Blackman and Godfather wrestled. The match was going no where. In the end, Godfather was going for the Ho-Train, when Al Snow ran in dressed as the lethal weapon and hit the Godfather with nunchucks. Godfather wins via DQ. After, Blackman kicked the Godfather. Backstage, the regime enters their locker room and they hear a rattle near Vince's bag. Shane goes to remove the bag and its a huge rattlesnake. They run out of the room. The Regime comes out asking where Austin is. They all challenge him to come out. He doesn't. They feel a bit confident, but then they call out the Rock. Triple H challenges the Rock. Then Rock comes out and said Rock promised Austin and he delivered.
