WCW Monday Nitro Report Live from Rochester, NY Report by WrestlingArena.com Nitro opens with Sting and Vampiro brawling. Vampiro gets the last blow in as he hits Sting with a pipe. Terry Funk took on Bam Bam Bigelow in a hardcore title match. Terry Funk came out and Bam Bam attacked him from behind. The Cat then came out and tried to attack Bam Bam but didn't do a good job at it. In the end, Funk had a garbage can over his head and Bammer was hitting him with a chair, then the Cat entered the ring and cart wheel kicked the chair which hit Bam Bam. Funk then went for the pin and won. Footage was show last week which showed Bret Hart hitting Hulk Hogan with the chair after Nitro finished. Kidman came out with the beautiful Torrie Wilson and challenged Hulk Hogan to a fight tonight. Eric Bischoff, Kimberely and Jeff Jarrett were entering the arena and Bischoff saw what Kidman was thinking and said he would take care of it. David Arquette is in the audience . Jeff Jarrett, Kimberely and Eric Bischoff came out and asked DDP to come out. Kim said she wants a divorce and wants DDP to sign the papers. DDP almost attacked Bischoff when Jarrett hit DDP with a guitar. Arquette runs in and attacks Bischoff and then Jarrett stops him and Kanyon comes out and stops Jarrett. Bischoff then challenges Arquette and Arquette says he will accept if the stipulation is made that if Arquette wins DDP will get a title shot tonight in a triple cage match. Arquette added he will 1-800-Kick Your ASS. Tammy Sytch and Chris Candido defeated The Artist and Paisley in a T and A fest. After the match, Sting came out and Scorpion Death Dropped Candido. He then challenged Vampiro. Kronic demand Russo give them a title shot and Russo says you have to do something first and they cut to commercial. Kronic came out to take on Ric Flair and Lex Luger. In the middle of the match Buff and Shane came out attacked Flair, which the ref didn't see. Kronic get the win. After, Douglas and Buff still attack Flair/Luger. They hand the bats to Kronic to help them and Kronic attacks Buff/Douglas Hulk Hogan comes out with FUNB on the back of his jacket to face Awesome and Kidman. Awesome and Hogan were really the only two fighting as Kidman barely interfered until Awesome got the advantage. They then double teamed him. Awesome powerbombed Hogan through the table. Then, they grabbed another table and put Hogan on it and Kidman went for a splash off the top rope. Kidman then went for a leg drop on Hogan and won the match. This prompted Kevin Nash to come out and he was cleaning house and then Torrie went for the low blow on Nash and they dragged him onto the turnbuckle (lying down) and hit his ankle with a chair. David Arquette took on Eric Bischoff where if Dave won DDP would take on Jarrett for the world title in the triple cage match. Eric started in charge with some kicks, and then Dave reversed with some of his own kicks. Afterwards, Dave did THE WORM! Did somebody forget to tell him that this was WCW? Anyway, the fans knew when to make the sounds. Then, as he was about to get the win, the ref got pulled out and knocked out. Jarrett was about to hit Arquette (who was being held by Bischoff) but Arquette moved and Bischoff got hit. Kanyon came out and took out Jarrett and a new ref came in and pinned Arquette to victory. Scott Stiener came out and talked about Booker and they exchanged words and then fists . Kronic came out to take on Buff and Shane Douglas (with Vince Russo) for the tag team titles. Kronic was about to win when the ref was thrown out and then Kronic attacked Russo but Buff/Shane stopped him and knocked them out. The ref came back in and was about to call the DQ when Russo hit the ref with the bat. Shane went for the cover, Russo went for the pin and Shane/Buff retain the belt. Tank Abbott came out and attacked Bob Ryder, Jeremy Borash and Bill Banks. DDP and Jeff Jarrett took on each other in the main event, in a SINGLE cage match. However, the match went all over the place, but not in the cage. Finally, the match went into the cage. In the end, DDP put on the Diamond Cutter and was going for the three count but Mike Awesome broke the cage door and tried to interfere but Kanyon stopped him and the ref counted to three and DDP won the match. DDP, Kanyon and David Arquette celebrated in the crowd! Vampiro took on Sting in a first blood match. Sting comes down from the top of the arena and has trouble taking his buckle off and Vamp attacks him. However, that didn't last for long as Sting had the advantage. Vampiro went to the outside and then Sting got drenched in red liquid. The New Blood came out and attacked Sting.
