WCW Nitro Results From Rockford Report by Justin Fritz Opening moments : - Balloons fill the arena as The New Blood enter the ring. Vince Russo took hold of the microphone and addressed several wrestlers in the ring. Vince bad mouth's J.R. by calling him an "asshole." He then brought out Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett strutted to the ring with the World Title around his waste. Jarrett spoke on the microphone. He mainly gloated to the fans over winning the World Title. After Jarrett's mouth had run dry, Kimberly came to the ring. Kimberly walked out with Eric Bischoff. Once in the ring, Bischoff handed the microphone to Kimberly. Kimberly told the fans that from day one, DDP was always worried about his needs first. Kimberly basically ended all relationships and continued talking. DDP pulled up in his sports car and jumped out. He took out the security and headed to the ring. He then charged the ring and fought with the New Blood. The riot cops unmasked and it's the Millionaires club. They clear the ring and Nitro cut to a commercial. - Backstage Russo and Bischoff are extremely ticked off. They scold Booker and other New Bloods. Bischoff told Russo to find Mike Awesome and then tell him to kick DDP's butt. While Bischoff is sitting in the chair the phone rung. The caller told Bischoff he would be there in 5 minutes to kick his ass. The phone caller was later identiefied as Hulk Hogan. The Perfect One vs. Curt Hennig - "The Perfect One" Shawn Stasiak makes his debut in WCW with this match. This match was slow to start out, but heated up when Ms. Hancock walked to the ring. The wrestlers brawled outside for a few minutes before getting back in the rin. Curt Hennig executed "The Perfect Plex" only to find out the ref was knocked out. The wrestlers fought back and fourth as Hogan is shown entering the building. Hogan walked to the ring and knocked both wrestlers down as Nitro cut to a commercial. When Nitro returned from commercial break, Hogan gave an outstanding shoot interview in the ring. During the interview Billy Kidman was showed on the Jumbo tron calling Kidman to the back. Hogan left the ring area to find him. - Backstage Mean Gene interviewed Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett told Okerlund that he had issued an open contract for the WCW Title match. First New Blood to sign the contract would wrestle him. The Wall vs. Terry Funk - The Wall came to the ring with built up anger. He quickly took advantage of the match when he piledrove Terry Funk through a table. The two wrestlers then battle to the entrerance area. A stack of tables fall on Funk and The Wall. Funk recovered and somehow pinned The Wall. Terry Funk is still Hardcore Champion. The Mamalukes prepare for their match with the Harris Brothers. However, backstage The Chronic (Bryan Adams/Bryan Clark) attack the Harris Brothers. The Chronic strutt to the ring andtotally destroy the Mamalukes and cut an interview for the fans. Vampiro Interview - Vampiro walked to the ring and cut the worst interview I've ever seen. He ripped on Sting during the whole segment. Finally the lights went out and came back on. Sting flew down from the top of the arena and landed in the ring. Sting hammered Vampiro and made him pay for his remarks. Mike Awesome vs. DDP - Mike Awesome dominates Diamond Dallas Page in the early goings of this match. Diamond Dallas Page turned the tides and took Awesome to the outside. Mike Awesome regained control as Kanyon rushed to the ring. Kanyon attacked Awesome while he was in the ring. Mike Awesome knocked him down and set up a table. Just as he's about to plant Kanyon through a table, The Wolfpak music blared through the speakers. Kevin Nash snuck up from behind and attacked Mike Awesome. Nash then powerbombed Awesome through a table in the ring. DDP, Nash, and Kanyon celebrate in the ring after the match. - Backstage Tank Abbott is shown heaed to the ring. Mark Madden hurried up eating his mid-day snacks because Abbott looked ready to beat someone's ass. - Backstage Lex Luger accepted Shane Douglas's match. Total Package vs. Shane Douglas - The Total Package and Shane Douglas lock up and began to fight in the ring. Soon Buff Bagwell's music and pyro went off and walked down to the ring. Bagwell began to distract Luger. Luger kicked him down and started fighting Douglas again. Wrestlepages.com wrote these, notify us if you see these. A Sting fan in the crowd smashed Douglas with a belt several times in the head. Everyone expected the fan to be Russo. Instead it's Ric Falir! Flair jumped into the ring afterwards as Russo rushed down to save Douglas. There is no winner. - Backstage Hogan is shown heading towards the white hummer. The show returned from commercial and Kidman and Hogan are shown fighting. Hogan fought Kidman for several minutes before he tossed him in the garbage dumpster. Hogan then went after Bischoff. Bischoff ran off, Hogan jumped in the hummer. Hogan drove the hummer straight into dumpster several times. Jeff Jarrett vs. Scott Steiner - Steiner walked to the ring with his US World Title. Scott Steiner brought several women to ringside. Steiner started out hitting Jarrett in the corner and then executed an elbow drop on Jarrett. After his great moves, Steiner flexed for the crowd. Jarrett then took advantage, hitting him with a flying crossbody off the top rope. Jarrett's energy boost doesn't last for long as Steiner struck a low blow on Jarrett. Steiner then applied The Steiner Recliner. Booker jumped in the ring and ax kicked Jarrett in the head! Match ends without a winner. - Backstage Hogan is tearing up the building. - Hogan found Bischoff and followed Bischoff to the ring. Both men step in the ring and Hogan began attacking Bischoff. Vince Russo came out to the ring as the show was closing. Bret Hart rushed to the ring and Nitro went off the air before he could strike anyone!  FREE CELEBRITY SCREENSAVERS ..
