WCW Thunder Report Taped from Dever, Colorado Report by Wrestling Arena Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo and the New Blood entered the arena and talked about Nitro. They made a bit of a mistake referring to Nitro happening yesterday (because Thunder is taped on Tuesdays) as opposed to saying on Monday. Anyway, they talked about how they destroyed the "Millionaire's Club." Afterwards, Eric Bischoff said that tonight both Jeff Jarrett and DDP have the night off, only to make things fair for Sunday. However, Page's wife, Kimberly will have to wrestle Madusa tonight. This brought out DDP and he and Bischoff exchanged words and then DDP challenged Bischoff to a match and as DDP was walking towards the ring, Bam Bam Bigelow ran out and attacked DDP from behind and this prompted the rest of the Millionaire's Club to come out and have a brawl with the New Blood. Crowbar/Shannon Moore and Lash LeRoux vs. Chris Candido/Juvy/TAFKA Prince. This match was all over the place as even team mates were fighting against each other. The reason for this match was because this Sunday all 6 will be in a fatal-6-way for the cruiserwieght title. In the middle of the match, Daffney came in and frankenstiened Shane Helms. Towards the end, Juvy, Candido and Prince fighted over who would get the pin on Crowbar all to impress the bookers. In the end, Crowbar got the pin on Candido! Sid took on Harlem Heat 2000 and if Sid wins he enters the WCW US Title Tourney this Sunday. The match was 3 on 1 NO DQ as Harlem Heat was destroying Sid. Sid had no hope until Booker comes out and beats up all of Harlem Heat and Sid goes for powerbomb Big T for the victory. After that, the Wall came out and hit Sid with a chair and knocked him out. Bischoff and Russo shown backstage wondering why Booker did that. Bischoff comes out into the arena and says Sid loses by DQ because of outside interference and doesn't qualify! Backstage, Eric Bischoff was screaming at Booker for doing what he did. Lex Luger took on Shane Douglas tonight. The reasoning for this was because Lex/Flair would take on Douglas/Buff this Sunday in the tag title tournament. The match was a pretty boring match that went nowhere until the ref got knocked out. Then Flair comes out and attacks Shane and sets him up for the torture rack by Luger as he wins via submission. Backstage, Jimmy Hart finds Bischoff and asks him why he did what he did at Nitro and Bischoff says he has to go. Vince Russo sends a message to the announcers saying that if Lex Luger jumps into the match between Flair/Bagwell, both members of Team Package will be eliminated. Jimmy Hart comes out to the ring and requests for Eric Bischoff to enter the arena and tell him the reasoning for what he did to Hogan on Monday. Bischoff comes out with Kidman and Kidman runs in and attacks Hart and sprays him with the letters NB! In a "Colorado Collision Match" (a royal rumble where you have to pin the person to eliminate them) Booker, The Wall, The Cat, Scott Stiener, Kid Man, and Vampiro faced each other. When Vampiro came out Sting was right behind him and Scorpion Death Dropped him. Scott Stiener then put Vampiro in the Stiener recliner for the victory. Medusa came out to face Kimberly. Medusa was dominating so DDP came out and Diamond Cut her. Kimberly was disqualified and the match was over. There was a three way hardcore match of tag teams where the winning team would face each other for the hardcore title at Spring Stampede. The teams were Meng/Hugh Morrus, Finley/Knobbs, Funk/Smiley. The match hard to call as it went everywhere from the concession stands to the balconies. In the end, Terry Funk was in the ring with Fit Finlay and Dustin Rhodes came in and beat on Funk. Then he and Finlay went to ringside to get weapons, and Norman Smiley comes in and pins Funk and he and Funk will face each other this Sunday for the Hardcore Title. Ric Flair took on Buff Bagwell and the match went to the outside, then a Sting impersanator came in and hit Ric Flair with the bat to reveal it being Vince Russo. He and Buff beat on Flair and then Shane Douglas runs in and helps. Lex Luger comes in and tries to help Flair but gets knocked down as Buff/Shane work on Team Package until they cut to commercial! Sting face Three Villanos. Sting was destroying them and then the ref gets knocked down (that happened a lot today) and one of the Villanos reached under the ring to find a guitar and hits Sting with it. Turns out, it was Jeff Jarrett. DDP comes in and diamond cutters him and puts Sting above him for the victory as he advances into the US tourney. Bam Bam Bigelow took on DDP in a very slow boring match. In the end, the ref was down and DDP got the Diamond Cutter on Bam Bam. Eric Bischoff comes in and pins 1 but does do 2 and 3. DDP was about to get Bischoff but JJ came in and hit him with a guitar. David Arquette runs in and JJ kicks his butt and then Kanyon runs in but gets knocked out as all of the New Blood run in and attack.
