RAW IS WAR - April 10, 2000 Commentators: Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross Report by Nick Ponton To the guy who's supposed to be sending me a copy of Wrestlemania, e-mail me and tell me what's up. I forgot your e-mail. WWF Title followed immediately by the RAW IS WAR title. We're live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for RAW IS WAR 3 weeks away from Backlash. IF YA SMELL.....The Rock comes out to open the show. The Rock says, he's taking us back to last week and special footage of Vince McMahon. They show clips from Smackdown and Vince screwing the Rock out of a victory then the Rock retaliating with a steel chair. Rock said he scrambled Vince's brains and after the dust cleared, the Rock says there's still one more shot the Rock wants Vince to remember. That picture is Vince lying unconscious on the ramp with the Rock's foot on his chest. Rock says after that shot and the humiliation, he still wants more. Tonight, the Rock wants his WWF title shot. A ROCKY chants starts. NO CHANCE hits and out comes Vince with a steel chair. Rock says, 3 things are gonna happen. First, he tells Vince to put the chair down. Second, Vince can attempt to hit the people's champion. Third, the Rock will take that chair, turn the sumbitch sideways and stick it straight up Vince's ass. Vince puts it down. Vince says if Rock makes one move toward him, Vince will hit him so hard, the Rock's brains will turn into crushed papaya. As for the title shot, Vince says, Rock will be given the opportunity, should he be victorious against opposition named later, he will get a title shot. All he has to do is be victorious in a steel cage match. Vince says no more gifts. From now on, Rock earns everything he gets. ASSHOLE chant starts and Vince says he don't appreciate it. Vince says somewhere deep down the Rock thinks who am I and why am I where I am. Vince reminds Rock that it was Vince who made him who he was (Survivor Series '98 Deadly Games Tournament). Vince reminds him, Rock was a corporate champion. Vince says Rock would have been a star without Vince McMahon, but never a superstar. He would have achieved a certain level of stardom. If they put a put a bulbous nose on him, he would have made a pretty good Doink The Clown, or with some feathers, a pretty good Gobbledeegooker. He could have let his weight go to hell, grow some worts and he wouldhave been a pretty good Bastion Booger. Because of Vince, Rock hosted SNL, he was on the Tonight Show, he got offers for TV and movies, and he was a bestselling author. Vince says he did it because he was looking for one thing from Rock. All he wanted was a thank you. Since Rock never said "Thank you", Vince screwed him at Wrestlemania. Vince says, Rock is an utter complete ingrate. The Rock says he wipes a monkey's ass with what Vince thinks. Vince then asks what "wipes a monkey's ass", likes a llama's anus is? He says that's strange thinking. Vince says Rock has a fixation about the rectal cavity and that's not normal. Vince says he's also got a fixation on what comes out of the rectal cavity. He's talking about feces. If Rock takes the feces from all these people here tonight, over a 24 hour period, gather it up, and try to shine it up and put it in one giant pizza oven, then Rock, then all these people could truly smell what the Rock is cooking. GAME plays over the speakers and out comes HHH, Steph, and Shane. Vince picks up the chair, but Rock turns around. Rock takes a shot to Vince's back and HHH, Shane and Steph run to Vince aid. Commercial Moments ago....Vince trying to attack Rock, but instead, Rock getting the best of him. Tag Title Match DX w/Tori vs. Edge/Christian JR says this match is a reward from the McMahon family to DX for everything they've done for HHH. Road Dogg does his thing while X-Pac parades around the ring. X-pac and Christian start. X-Pac spits water in Christian's face then folllows with kicks to the midsection. Christian hits a powerslam then tags in Edge. After a double team, Edge hits a spinning heel kick for a two count. Shoulder block by Edge then X-Pac hits a spinning heel kick of his own after a boot to the back by Road Dogg. X-Pac and Road Dogg double team Edge. Road Dogg in and ducks a clothesline and hits the Juke ' n June and the Shake, Rattle, 'n Roll (I thought that was Honky Tonk Man's move). DX willmore double teams. All four men in. Christian hits a inverted backbreaker on X-Pac/ Road Dogg and Tori double team Edge. X-Pac misses a bronco buster, but Tori distracts Mike Chioda while Road Dogg grabs the ring bell and knocks out Christian. Winner and new tag team champions: DX WAIT, Out comes senior refereeEarl Hebner and reverses the decision and the match restarts. X-Pac and Road Dogg DO NOT win the titles. Edge spears X-Pac and gets the three count even though Christian was legal man. Winners and STILL WWF tag team champions: Edge and Christian via spear Godfather shown backstage with the ho's getting ready to come to the ring. Commercial Godfather w/ho's vs. Kurt Angle Godfather comes down with his Aggression music. Godfather does his repetitive "Ho Train' speil. Kurt says he's glad everyone's happy and he's going to talk about something that makes him happy. Celebacy. Kurt says he's stayed volutarily. Angle says Godfather comes out here everyweek parading his filth and debacery (I can't spell half of Angle's speech). Kurt pulls out a condom and explains it to Godfather. he then says, "You can prance, and you can dance, but when it comes to relations, keep it in your pants". Godfather attacks Angle, but Angle takes control with some rights. Big boot by Godfather after a whip then a back body drop and a scopp slam. Godfather hits his spinning leg drop and Angle ducks out of the ring. He shoves one of the ho's in Godfather's way, but Godfather catches up with him. Godfather hold Angle, while a ho slaps him. Back in the ring, Godfather whips Angle into the corner and sets up the Ho Train and misses. Angle hits a belly-to-back for a two count. Short clothesline by Godfather. After a missed clothesline, Angle hits the Olympic Slam for the win Winner: Kurt Angle via Olympic Slam Earlier today....a limo left and a bouncing car pulls into the National Car Center with Chyna and Eddie in it. Scotty Too Hotty, Rikishi and Tazz making their way to the ring. Rikishi asks if Scotty wants him to back that ass up and Rikishi turns around and walks butt first into the camera. Commercial Show and Shane shown backstage and Show says last week was just the tip of the iceberg. Wait till tonight. Show goes off camera and takes his shirt off. Shane laughs and tells him if the shoe fits...... Rikishi, Scotty Too Hotty, Tazz vs. Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko New t-shirt for Rikishi this week and Tazz is wearing his Syxx (Thug, get it?) tights. I really like the Radicalz shirt.Scotty and Benoit start. Colar and Elbow tie up into an arm wrench by benoit. Headlock by Scotty into the ropes followed by a shoulder block. Belly-to-back byScotty and he dance. Saturn gets on the rope distracting Jack Doan, and Malenko attacks him from behind. Martial arts kick by Malenko and Saturn tagged in. Elbow by Saturn then he goes after Tazz bringing him in the ring. Gut wrench into the turnbuckle by Saturn and Benoit tagged in. Benoit pounds on Scotty then hits a snap suplex and tags in Malenko. Belly-to back by Malenko, but Scotty falls out. Standing switch by Scotty then Malenko into the ring post. Rikishi tagged in and cleans house. All three guys thrown inthe corner. Benoit falls out and gets clotheslined followed by Saturn. Rikishi backs dat ass up into Malenko. Tazz tagged in and throws Saturn out. Scotty hits a bulldog on Malenko and goes for the worm. Saturn and Tazz fighting and Malenko and Rikishi fighting while Scotty hits the worm. Benoit in and Scotty attacks him. Malenko in the corner and Scotty splashes him. Rikishi then starts slapping his ass, but Benoit pulls him out. Scotty puts the Cloverleaf on Malenko, but Saturn knocks him off. Malenko jumps on Scotty for the pinfall. Winners: Radicalz via pinfall HHH, Steph, and Shane shown coming to the ring. It's time for the 9:00 main event. Commercial Terri and a BLONDE Kat shown in a styling saloon. Francois is the hairdresser. Terri goes to get drinks while Kat tells Francios what she wants down. Terri hands her a drink that was spiked by Terri. WWF Title Match - HHH vs. Taka Michinoki w/aPa and Funkai Shane is having a fit that the aPa is there. Earl Hebner takes out Shane McMahon and the aPa go after him. Taka starts out beating on HHH. Flying headscissors takeover and a dropkick by Taka. A drop kick to a sitting HHH gets Taka a near fall. Another drop kick by Taka takes HHH down. A slap to the face followed by chops to the chest. Taka whipped into the corner, but gets the boot up. Tornado DDT by Taka for another two count. Taka chopping HHH again. HHH hits a facebuster after a whip then knocks Taka out of the ring. Outside, HHH beats on Taka. HHH jumps back in to break the count and HHH comes back out and chops more. The Acolytes are standing outside to make sure there's no interfernec. Irish whip by HHH followed by a knee to the face for a two count. HHH kicks Taka down in the corner. Hebner grabbed HHH by the hair to pull him off. HHH shoved HHH then Hebner shoved him right back. HHH punches Taka in the corner, butTaka fights back. Taka thrown through the ropes . Taka thrown into the steps then thrown back in. Hebner and HHH go at it again. HHH says he don't "give a f*ck" (exact words. The camera mic picked it up) Funaki baseball slides and knocks HHH into the Acolytes. The Acolytes pummel HHH. Drop kick by Funaki and Moonsault by Taka for a NEAR FALL. Shane and Vince come down to the ring and try to buy the aPa. Taka still working on HHH. Taka goes up. Bull Buchanon and Bossman assualt the Acolytes. Taka goes for the Michinoku driver but can't pick him up. Hurricanranna turned into a powerbomb followed by pedigree for the win. Winner: HHH via Pedigree After the match, HHH pedigrees Funaki as well and Shane shoves Hebner for good measure. Shane then goes outside and he and HHH each take a shot at the aPa and Vince gets in one of his own. Commercial Clip of yesterday's WWF Kane Dragster winning something. Last Thursday....Buh-Buh looking like he wanted to get "wood" with Trish Stratus and put her through a table. Trish talking to T & A and tells them to put their hands on the Dudley Boyz. Test and Albert assualt the Dudley's. Commercial Moments ago...Vince fooling the Acolytes T & A w/Trish Stratus vs. Hardy Boyz Matt and Test start and test gains the early advantage until Matt hits an elbow followed by a moonsault. Test gets up with a gut wrench powerbomb. Albert tagged in and a double team modified face plant. Albert gets Matt to the ropes and slingshotted him into the third. Albert beats on Albert in the corner. Albert lowers the sholder into Matt's stomach then throws him across the ring. Matt goes for the hangman's neckbreaker, but Albert counters with a sidewalk slam. Albert goes to the middle rope and missed a butt drop. Jff tagged in and right away hits a missle dropkick and follows with a hurricanranna. Test in the ring and the double team by T & A. Powerbomb by Test for a two count even though there was no tag. Matt in to break the count. Matt tosses Test out. Matt falls out of a gorilla press and hits the Twist of Fate. Jeff hits the Swanton for the win. Winners: Hardy Boyz via Swanton The Dudley's come down and 3-D Test. Buh-Buh goes for a table and Trish just stands there. T & A's music hits early and gives away the fact the Dudley's aren't going to succeed. Trish gets up on the apron and tempts Buh-Buh Ray. Albert attacks the Dudley's from behind and chokeslams Buh-Buh through the table Commercial (new Big Show Chef-Boy-ar-dee spot shown) Val Venis vs. Big Show Big Show comes out dressed like Val Venis. I hope he don't actually Stevie Richards gimmick. Show actually has a wig, towel and almost an exact replica of Venis' tights. Show does his own Hello Ladies Show says, "We all know it's not the motion of the ocean, but the size of the boat. Never mind the minow in the ocean, but a ticket on the Big Show Titanic." Venis says, "If your brain was as big as your mouth, you would have realized the Titanic sunk a long time ago and it wasn't an iceberg, it was your dimply ass." (I don't get it.) Venis attacks Show and knocks his hair off. Show reverses a whip and hits a big boot. Venis rolls outside and Show goes for another boot, but instead gets crotched. Venis drop kicks show, but can't knock him down. Venis hits a shoulder block and knocks him down. Venis hits an elbow off the middle rope for a two count. Show in the corner and Venis mounts him and hits a few punches before being knocked down. Show hits a couple rights and a headbutt. Venis thrown in the corner and recieved a couple chops. Clothesline lby Show and Venis is hurting. Venis lowbridges Show, but Show gets up. Show is walking around looking for his "damn towel" Instead, he uses the wig to choke Venis. Chad Patton calls for the bell and dq's Show. Winner: Val Venis via DQ Commercial Castrol GTX Slam of the Week...Eddie Guerrero interrupting Jericho and Vis's match last night. European Title Match Eddie Guerrero w/ Chyna vs. Chris Jericho Since when did the champ come down first? Oh well, Eddie's finally got his own music. Halfway down, he puts on his VA-CHYNA shirt. Flashback to last week when Chyna turned on Jericho. Welcome to RAW IS JERICHO. Jericho says contrary to what Chyna may believe, he's ecstatic that they're togehter. Jericho asks which one is the man (gee, never heard that before) Then he asks which one has the bigger package. Jericho says the Taco Bell Chihuaha has more latino heat than him. Jericho then says at least the Taco Bell dog's bitch is housebroken A Y2J chant starts as Jericho pounds on Eddie. A double underhook backbreaker causes Eddie to jump out of the ring. He comes back in and uses Tim White as a shield. Eddie starts kicking on Jericho and then hits a drop kick after a whip. Eddie works over the knee of Jericho by putting it on the rope and sitting on it. Eddie jumps to the outside and then puts on a figure four after he gets back in. Jericho turns the hold over and reverses the pressure. Eddie turns it back over and Jericho gets a rope break. Eddie continues to kick the leg then slaps Jericho across the chest. Jericho reverses a whip then flapjakes Eddie. Eddie knocks Chris down a steps on his face. Jericho is dragged to the corner by his hair and then whipped across. Jericho gets the boot up then chops Eddie back into the corner. Big back body drop by Jericho followed by a clothesline. More stiff chops then Eddie whipped. Eddie jumps to avoid Jericho and puts on a nifty pinning combo. Jericho gets up and puts on the Walls of Jericho. Chyna on the apron and Jericho breaks the hold. Eddie with a small package and Eddie uses the ropes for leverage. Jericho kicks out and hits a bulldog for a two count. Chyna grabs the Euro belt and tosses it in the ring. Eddie and Chris fight over it and they end up knocking Tim White down. Jericho hits the moonsault but there's no ref. Chyna in the ring and lowblows Jericho then hits a DDT. Time White gets up and makes the count. Winner and still European Champion: Eddie Guerrero via DDT by Chyna Commercial In the arena, the cage is shown being lowered (couldn't this have been done during the commercial? Terri and Kat are shown again and the really butchered Kat's hair. It's now a light shade of green and they messed with her make-up Rock is shown walking towards the ring, but still no mention of who he's wrestling. Commercial Lugz Boot of the Week.....The main event from Smackdown and Rock getting the best of Vince McMahon Steel Cage Match for Rock's Shot at the WWF Title Rock vs. Mystery Opponent Pinfalls DO count in this match and referee Earl Hebner is in the ring with them. The cage door is LOCKEDGAME hits and out comes HHH and Steph with Vince and Shane HHH isn't getting in the ring yet and Bossman's music hits. Out comes Bull Buchannon and Bossman. It's a handicap match. Bossman gets beat on right away why Rock. Buchannan comes in and gets thrown to Bossman. Rock tries to get out and Bull pulls him back in. Bull and Bossman double team rock with a double elbow. Rock thrown in the corner and Bull slingshots Bossman into him. Rock hits a DDT on Bull, but Bossman hits an elbow on Rock. Bossman tries to escap, but Rock pulls him back. Rock starts to climb, but Shane goes up on the outside and knocks him back in. Bull and Bossman kick Rock. Double team punches from bull on Bossman followed by a wishbone. Near fall by Bull on Rock. SHANE'S A PUSSY chant (good one San Jose **Thumbs Up). Ax kick from Bull for another two count. Bossman jumps on and gets a two count of his own. Double suplex by Bull and Bossman. Bull knocks Rock backdown with a chop to the throat. Rock choked on the ropes while Vince and Shane taunt him. Bossman hits a clothesline for another two. Bossman winds up for an elbow. Bull continues to pound on Rock while Bossman looks for praise from Steph and HHH. Rock thrown face first into the cage while a ROCKY chant starts up. Kick to the crotch by bull. Bossman hold Rock while Bull delivers a series of rights. Bossman holds Rock while Bull goes for a springboard. Rock slips away and hits bossman instead. Rock throws Bossman into the cage and Samoan Drop on Bull. Bossman thrown into the cage again, but has enough energy to hit a bossman slam. All three men down. Bull up first and he goes for the cge. Bossman and Rock get up and Rock hits a spinebuster. Rock stops Bull and Bull tries to leap off the top rope, but gets caught in the Rock Bottom for the three. Winner: Rock via Rock Bottom Shane and HHH in the cage. HHH throws Rock into the cage and orders Bossman and Bull out. HHH has brass knuckles and he nails the Rock with them. Hebner knocked down. Shane and Vince hold the Rock while HHH continues to pound on a busted open Rock. HHH hits the Pedigree. Vince picks up a chair. HHH grabs a mic and gets in Rock's face. HHH asks Rock if he wants to play the game with him. HHH says Rock is in the game. He says he's done playing games with the Rock. HHH says he is Rock's worst BEEEEEEEEP. HHH then says he's done playing games. This is just step one and they tell him to pick the Rock up. HHH sets Rock up for another pedigree in a very bloody ring. He had to thin his blood.
