WWF Sunday Night Heat results: 4/9 Commentators: Kevin Kelly and Michael Hayes Report by: Kevin Gregg of (www.powerwrestling.com) Sunday Night Heat starts off with footage from this past Monday night on RAW when Eddy Guerrero challenged Chris Jericho for the WWF European belt. The referee was knocked out, and Chyna got in the ring and awarded Jericho the winner. From there, Chyna turned her back on Chris Jericho and gave him a DDT! Chyna joined Eddy Guerrero on RAW as he became the new WWF European Champion. We found out on WWF Smackdown! that Chyna couldn't resist Latino Heat. Essa Rios vs. FunakiEssa Rios and Lita are on their way to the ring to kick off Sunday Night Heat, and Essa Rios is scheduled for a one on one match against Funaki! Essa Rios starts off by hammering away on Funaki with a kick and punches. Essa then gives Funaki a suplex in the middle of the ring and then he hammers away on Funaki with some right hands on the mat. Essa whips Funaki off the ropes, and Funaki comes back with a drop kick. Essa gives Funaki a drop kick to the knee section and then he kicks away on Funaki in the corner. Essa whips Funaki off the ropes and then he goes for a kick, but Funaki dodges it. Essa goes for a move, but he misses it as Funaki moves out of the way. Funaki gives Essa Rios a snap suplex and pins him for a two count. Funaki gives Essa Rios a DDT and then pins him for another two count. Funaki whips Essa Rios into the corner and charges at him, but Essa gets his foot up and boots him in the face. Essa backs Funaki in the corner and chops away on him as the fans yell "Whooo!". Essa gives Funaki a head scissors to take him down and Lita gets in the ring and does the same thing behind the back of the referee. "I wish she'd do that to me!" - Michael Hayes. Essa Rios pins Funaki for a two count, and somehow he was able to kick out. Funaki gives Essa Rios a face first bulldog and then he show boats for a moment and then gives Essa Rios a back drop. Funaki pins Essa Rios and gets a two count when he doesn't hook the leg. Funaki gives Essa Rios a piledriver and pins him for another two count. Funaki puts Essa upside down in the corner and then he charges at him and gives him a drop kick right to the face. Funaki gets a suplex on Essa Rios and yet again covers him for a two count. Funaki chokes Essa Rios over the second rope as Lita cheers on Essa Rios. Funaki whips Essa to the corner, but Essa uses his speed to get to the apron and then he goes off the top rope but misses. From there, Essa slams Funaki down to the mat face first. Essa goes to the top rope and gives Funaki a moon sault to get the win. Lita gets on the top rope and gives Funaki the moon sault as well! "I'll take three of those to go!" - Michael Hayes Winner - Essa Rios Val Venis is shown backstage, and Stevie Richards shows up. Stevie says he's a big fan of Val's work, and then he tells him that he booked them against the Headbangers. The Headbangers vs. two sex symbols. Val is with a girl, and the girl questions him as to who Stevie Richards is. Val says this is going to be a long night and the two walk away. Some video footage is shown for the WWF Hardcore Champion, Crash Holly. Crash stated that he was going to put the belt on the line 24/7, and from there, many WWF stars have attacked him and wrestled him to try to win the belt. Crash said that everyone who was gunning at him deserved a shot, and a match was set for Wrestlemania, and it was a Battle Royal for the WWF Hardcore belt with a 15 minute time limit. The last one to get the pin would walk away with the belt. Hardcore Holly walked out with the belt at the end, but Crash and Hardcore had a match for the belt the next night. With the help of the Acolytes, Crash Holly was able to walk away the winner and new WWF Hardcore Champion. World Wrestling Federation Hardcore Championship Match Mark Henry vs. Crash Holly (c)Crash Holly is on his way to the ring, and he's going against Mark Henry tonight in a Hardcore Championship match! Both men come to the ring with weapons in hand and Crash attacks Mark Henry on the outside of the ring to start off the match. Mark takes Crash down and then tries to slam his head into the ring apron, but Crash blocks it and nails Mark with a garbage can lid. Crash puts Mark Henry in the ring and then kicks away on him in the corner. Crash charges at Mark Henry, and Mark catches him and gives him a powerslam. Mark goes to the outside of the ring and gets some weapons and throws them into the ring. Mark gets in the ring and beats up on Crash with the weapons and he puts a garbage can over the head of Crash. Mark picks up the cookie sheet and swings it as hard as he can and nails Crash with it. Mark Henry pins Crash Holly for a two count and Crash gets up and fires back with some kicks to the legs. Crash works on the legs of Mark Henry and then he goes off the top rope with a missle drop kick to knock Mark Henry down. Crash pins Mark Henry for a two count and then he picks up the cookie sheet and nails Mark across the head with it. Mark gets pissed off and charges at Crash and Crash drop toe holds Mark into a cookie sheet and pins him for a three count. The referee counted a fast three count and then after the contest, another referee comes to the ring and Jack Doan attacks Crash Holly to try to win the WWF Hardcore belt! Crash gives Jack Doan a DDT and then he leaves the ring! Winner and still WWF Hardcore Champion, Crash Holly The Headbangers vs. Val Venis and Stevie RichardsThe Headbangers are on their way to the ring, and they are set for tag team action against Val Venis and Stevie Richards. Stevie Richards comes out with a towel on, and he's reluctant to take the towel off. Val asks him what his problem is, and he says that he forgot to wear clothes. Val Venis sends him back and tells him to get some trunks on. Mosh starts off in the ring against Val Venis and Mosh works on the arm of Val Venis. Val reverses it and hammers away on the arm of Mosh. Val and Mosh exchange right hands and Stevie makes his way back to the ring with some Val Venis looking trunks on. Val Venis gives Mosh a couple of knees to the mid section and then he gives him a russian leg sweep. Val tags Stevie into the ring and Mosh tags in Thrasher after a clothesline. Stevie gives Thrasher a number of arm drags and then he gives him a side slam and pins him for a two count. Thrasher whips Stevie off the ropes, and Stevie comes back with a Stevie kick on Thrasher. Stevie tags Val Venis back into the ring and Val goes right to work on both of the Headbangers. All four men battle in the ring and the Headbangers gain control when they take both Stevie and Val down. The Headbangers give Val Venis a flap jack and pin him for a two count when Stevie makes the save. Val Venis gives Mosh a powerbomb and then he goes to the top rope with the Money Shot, but Thrasher is there to stop him. Mosh grabs hold of Val Venis while he's on the top rope and he goes for a hurricanrana but Val Venis pushes him down. Val Venis then gives Mosh the Money Shot to get the win for his team. Stevie gets in the ring and celebrates with Val, and Val doesn't seem to want anything to do with Stevie. Winners - Val Venis and Stevie Richards Viscera vs. Chris JerichoViscera is on his way to the ring, and he's set for a one on one match against Chris Jericho. The fans are on their feet as Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring and he says that Viscera looks like an illegitimate love child of Fat Albert and Mr. T. Chris says that Viscera isn't filthy like Eddy Guerrero, nor is he a skank like Chyna and since he can't have a match against them, he'll have a match against Viscera who is bigger than Chyna, Eddy and all their furniture rolled up into one. Chris says that's what all the fans came to see and he gets in the ring and the match is on. Chris and Viscera lock it up and Viscera takes Jericho down, and Jericho gives Viscera a number of right hands. Viscera whips Jericho off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but misses. Jericho chops away on Viscera and then kicks Viscera in the chest. Jericho goes off the second rope with a missle drop kick. Viscera nails Chris Jericho with a rolling kick and then Viscera goes to the top rope and Chris Jericho drop kicks him down. Chris then goes off the top rope and drop kicks Viscera from the apron. Jericho then tries a body press onto Viscera, but Viscera catches him and then slams him into the post and then to the floor. Viscera and Chris Jericho get back in the ring as the fans chant "Y2J!". Viscera chokes Chris Jericho on the ropes and then he gives Jericho a side walk slam. Jericho drop kicks Viscera in the knee and then Viscera slams Jericho into the corner like an infant! Jericho comes out of the corner with a bulldog on Viscera and then he pins him for a two count as Viscera just powers out of it. Jericho chops away on Viscera and then Viscera goes to give Jericho a samoan drop, but Jericho gets out of it. The referee and Jericho wind up in the corner, and Viscera tries to splash them both, but they both move out of the way. Jericho tries to get the Walls of Jericho on Viscera, and he gets it on! Chyna comes out to the ring and distracts the referee and Eddy Guerrero comes and nails Jericho with the WWF European Championship! Viscera then gives Chris Jericho a big splash to get the win.
