Before the Update, I've got quite a few things I need to get by you guys. One; I thought Nitro and RAW were both very good last night. I'll get into that with details further down. Second; the past 24 hours have been very wacky. My site, which is less than 20 days old, was taken down yesterday for some odd reason. We're still trying to put everything back the way it was on TheWrestlingWire.com, so bare with us. Now that my blabbing is done with, enjoy today's news... First off, Stevie Richards finally updated his online-commentary on StevieRichards.com. He had more than a few noteworthy things to say, and among them was info' on his new column. He explains that starting in the June WWF Magazine, [and possibly RAW magazine] he'll be writing his own thoughts and opinions on the month in wrestling. Stevie also pointed out that he returns to WWF house shows this upcoming weekend, and will tangle it up with another returning wrestler, Taka of Kaientai. RAW is being praised last night for being such a good setup to WM2000. However, the only real gist of complaints squared up on WWF CEO, Linda McMahon. Although the Booking Team may have done a nice job on the night, RAW did take a little too much focus out of the wrestlers, and onto the McMahon family. Mrs. McMahon's monotone voice might not have been the hype they needed, for she gave a longer promo' to the PPV than Mick Foley did, which is simply unbelievable. Speaking of PPV's, I'm going to jump promotion's here and talk about WCW. MultiChannelNews.com broke the news earlier this week that WCW had replaced Jay Hassman with Aaron Blitzstein as head of WCW Pay-Per-View operations. Blitzstein has quite a background on him, having represented big shows put on by The Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, and more. Currently, it's not as easy as it sounds moving things around with all the changes in many WCW departments, so it's expected that the plans going into motion won't be utilized until July 9th's Bash at the Beach PPV. What's worse to censors than having Scott Steiner on the microphone? Having JOHN ROCKER on the microphone is the answer! The House of Pain Wrestling Federation created a very controversial character last week, which they're calling [who would've guessed] John Rocker. Rocker's character in HoPWF is being billed as being from Atlanta, Georgia, etc. CBS is once again talking with Stone Cold Steve Austin about making a couple more appearances on their "Nash Bridges" program. Apparently, both parties have agreed that Steve tape the two final shows of the 2000 season, playing his 'Jake Cage' character. For more on this, check out CBS's website at CBS.com... In some ECW news, Lance Storm has supposedly grown quite unpopular backstage with ECW. Not only has Lance managed to make the bad-side of ECW and TNN officials, but also wrestlers and crew, as well. Quoting direct reports, several backstage have dubbed him with a "holier than thou" and a "know it all" personality, while those close to him say that's just his dry personality, and no harm was intended. Lastly, thanks to WCW.com for the following "WCW in the Media" tidbits... *Sports Illustrated for Kids will be doing a feature on WCW and Pro Wrestling for their May issue. Goldberg will be on the cover, while DDP, Hulk Hogan, Sid, and various others will grace the inner-pages. *To promote "Ready to Rumble", DDP, Sting & David Arquette will all be taping the Roseanne Show on April 6th. Currently, the air-date is scheduled for April 10th, but that's subject to change. *DDP, accompanied with a few actors from R2R, will be appearing on Politically Correct for another promotional appearance. As of now, that'll be taped April 6th, too, while the air-date is said to be April 7th. *And finally, Goldberg will be representing WCW at this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Last year, Macho Man w/ Gorgeous "It's good to go solo" George were the WCW representee's. The Nick' K.C.A. will be taped on April 14th, and shown on April 15th. Adios. **PowerWrestling** - Top Stories: WWF World Title Tournament, RVD tidbits, Plus, news on New Jack, RVD, Stone Cold, DDP, WM2000, Spring Stampede, Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, & TONS More...
